Racing Towards Zero: Our Carbon Offset Commitment

At Monaco Sports Group, performance doesn’t stop at the finish line. Competing in the world’s only carbon-neutral sports series means taking responsibility for our impact both on and off the race track.

As part of this commitment, we partnered with Evolution Markets to offset our Season 11 carbon footprint. Our investment supports the Inner Mongolia Wujier Phase I Wind Power Project in China, a verified renewable energy initiative already delivering measurable impact.

The Project: Located in Ordos City, the project features 33 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 49.5 MW, supplying clean electricity to the North China Power Grid. By replacing carbon-intensive power with zero-emissions wind energy, it is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 120,508 tCO₂e per year. This is equivalent to removing tens of thousands of cars from our roads.

Verified Impact: The project is certified under the Verified Carbon Standard, one of the world’s most rigorous carbon crediting frameworks. This ensures that every tonne of CO₂e reduced is independently verified and permanently retired.

Beyond Carbon: The impact goes further than emissions reduction. Investment in renewable infrastructure supports local employment, strengthens the regional economy, and contributes to a more diverse and resilient energy system. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action.

The Bigger Picture: Offsetting is just one part of the journey. Sustainability in motorsport is complex, but every verified tonne reduced proves that progress is possible, even in one of the most demanding environments in global sport.

For us, racing fast and racing responsibly are not in conflict, they’re the same pursuit.
